We the Redeemed...

Well it has been awhile since I have written, not that I haven't wanted to. I am trying to find the balance of what is too much and what is too less to share on here (if there is such a thing). I want to be open and honest in hopes that people will be encouraged or challenged, but at the same time I still want some personal things to stay personal. So please bear with me as I try to figure out the next few blogs.

With that, I have been listening to Hillsong's "We the Redeemed" on there Faith+Hope+Love album. You can say that I am a little obsessed with it. Let's see in the last 4 hours I have listened to it over 25 times. It is on repeat on my iTunes :) My obsession with the song is because of these lyrics:
This is the sound of the redeemed
Rising up to praise the King
Our hope is in You
This is the sound of the redeemed
Rising up to praise the King
Singing glorious glorious One You have saved us
Honor and Power and Praise to the Savior.
You are the Answer You are the Answer

We the redeemed
Hear us singing
You are Holy
You are Holy  This is my prayer and praise to God right now because I am the redeemed! I have been redeemed as a child of God. And I guess lately I feel as though I have been taking that for granted. And this is the song that I feel explains just how grateful I am that I get to sing the the Holy One in a country that is free to do it. I get to praise my KING because someone shared with me who He is. I have been bought back because I was given that opportunity to receive Him. These are just some of the MANY things that I know that I have taken for granted right now.  These are also some of the things that break my heart too. Because yet I have the freedom to praise God because I know Him, there are those who dont. That is why I have such a heart for Latin America, for Costa Rica. God has given my the ability to speak Spanish, been born into a very Mexican family and a heart for the lost teens out there. A heart to be able to give them the opportunity to be redeemed as well.   I know that soon I will be in Costa Rica doing the work that God has called me to do. When? Only He knows the answer but I will sing praises to Him for the time and the things that He is teaching me here in Fresno.    So with that, I will continue to praise God and hope in HIM!
